I use Phenol Red (ca. 50 ug/ml final conc ) in the modified Sequenase protocol (Haas and Smith, Biotechniques (1993) 15, No 3, p.426) so why should't it work in a PCR? Sasha Kraev bckraev at aeolus.ethz.ch
