Software to call heterozygosity from ABI output

We are interested in analyzing sequence heterozygosity using our
ABI 373A.  I know that ABI has some software that will call
heterozygotes.  I'd like to hear both reports on the utility
and reliability of the ABI program, as well as find out if there
are any viable alternatives.

We are particularly interested in whether the software will actually
call the base combination, preferably using the one-letter 
redundancy code.
