ELISA microplate reader

Thanks to all the people who recommended ELISA readers (mostly Molecular 
Devices). From reading the technical specifications, it's hard to tell 
the difference between these machines. The main thing I see is that some 
read a wider O.D. range. Is there some reason most people prefer the 
Molecular Devices machines over other brands?
