Removal of Dna Probes

With Amersham's Hybond N+ membranes and fluroscein labelled DNA probes
I have had no problems removing the probe as follows. Bring a solution
of 0.1% (w/v) SDS to the boil, add membrane and allow solution to cool
to room temp. I don't see any reason why this also shouldn't work 
with 32P-labelled probes and other membranes.

P.S. If your blot has been allowed to dry out at any stage this also
prevents removal of the probe.
