The Directorate for Biological Sciences of the National
Science Foundation has recently published 2 program
announcements for Postdoctoral Research Fellowships and will
soon be issuing a third one. Available now are Postdoctoral
Research Fellowships in Biosciences Related to the
Environment (NSF 94-114) and Postdoctoral Research
Fellowships in Molecular Evolution (NSF 93-151 revised).
The latter program is a joint activity with the Alfred P.
Sloan Foundation. Both programs have deadlines in early
December. The third announcement is for the NSF Minority
Postdoctoral Research Fellowships and will be available in 2
weeks (deadline in early January). The old program
announcement for the Minority program (NSF 91-118) should
not be used for this year's competition. If you'd like a
copy of any of these announcements, please send your mailing
address to ckimsey at nsf.gov on Internet.
