Yes to both. (even better would be to store under a nitrogen or argon
atmosphere at -80, but I never bother.)
The QC sheet that comes with the label usually discusses the stability of
35S-met at -20vs. -80. When its aliquoted and stored at -80, I usually
find its ok for > one half-life (as assayed by labelling cells or by in
vitro translation.)
