Cycle Sequencing Question

Hello -
I would like some pointers on cycle sequencing human genomic DNA (from blood)
CR.  We are trying to sequence D-Loop region of the mitochondria as well.
We have tried several concentrations of temp and primer.   We can get the
control to work (pGEM).  But not the genomic DNA.  Currently we are using
Promega Silver Sequence Kits.

Any tips?
