Positive selection vectors

Hello,

Recently I saw a posting here requesting an lacZ alpha-complementing galE-
 E. coli strain, to be used for positive selection of plasmids w/inserts,
in the presence of phenylgalactoside.  While I can't answer that question
directly, when looking through the databases, I came across a number of
references to vectors constructed to enable positive selection of
insertion-containing plasmids.  The references follow, for anyone who is
