RBC prep

Hello:  I know that someone out there knows exactly how to do this:  one of
my colleagues needs to make a human rbc prep to isolate mitochondrial DNA.
 What's the easiest way to get rid of white cells?  We only have access to
Eppendorf-type microfuges at this time, so you'll get extra credit if you
have a method that works on a fairly small scale.  Thanks...
