[Q] Products for PCR solid phase strand separation?

Hi,
I was wondering what the net wisdom is regarding
commercial products, ie avidin-coated magnetic beads,
for strand separation of biotinylated PCR products 
for later (direct, cycle or standard) sequencing.

I would also be grateful for any protocols on this!
