Fluorescent labeling of plasmid DNA

I recently recieved some literature on europium labeled d-CTP from Wallac Co.  
Something called the DELFIA system which uses lanthanide chelates as a 
fluorescent marker.  I would like to use this to label plasmid DNA and 
monitor it in situ.  They claim you can do nick translation or random primed 
reactions with it.  Does anyone have any experience with this or similar 
products?  Any caveats?  Suggestions welcome.
