Of course i agree with you point, but you wouldn´t use
radioactivity at home nowadays for routine
molecular biology work, wouldn´t you? One might put the
question slightly different. How much money and dealing
with legislative issues would it take to set up a small
enterprise - lets say in a room that would be suited -
in the field of molecular biology. Consider the many
software companies that have this origin, and how often
is biotechnology compared with information technology??
Can this success story be repeated at a similar level?
Just some thoughts
