EtoH ppt.

Hi,
I was reading an old listing 93` where a researcher was advised not to EtoH ppt
their DNA samples. The samples were to be used for a S blot, DNA was digested
in a total volume of 100ul. The EtoH ppt was leading to inconsistent results.

What alternative can you use, place digests in a speed vac?
Why could EtoH ppt lead to inconsistent results. Understanding that there may
be a loss of DNA due to the ppt.
