stripping Northern blots

	The RNA has to be linked to the membrane if you want to strip.  
Increased stringency will strip the probes, and your sample, otherwise.  
Cross-link under UV .. it isn't necessary to have a fancy cross-linker 
as I've used the transilluminator to crosslink (usually a couple of 
minutes works well).
