stripping Northern blots

I have used hybond-N+ to do quite a few northerns.  If you use alkali
transfer you do not need to use UV to crosslink your RNA to the membrane. 
Using alkali transfer, i have stripped (in boiling 0.1% SDS) northerns and
reprobed them up to 8 times with no problems.  For alkali transfer of RNA,
i use 50 mM NaOH, and capillary blot for 3-4 hours.  I usually get
complete transfer after this time.  Longer transfer times are detrimental
to the blot however.
