I have been using a column from Millipore--Ultrafree-MC. I can cut a fragment from a 2% agarose gel (non low melt even) and then place it in this column, spin in a microfuge for 5' and it spins the DNA right out--ready to use. There are different "sizes" depending on how big your DNA is. Lee
