To methods and reagents: Has anyone out there performed S1 analysis of RNA? Do you have any protocols or tips on S1 analysis? Is S1 analysis better than ribonuclease protection for quantitative studies of gene expression? I will be performing my studies with bacterial RNA expressed from a low copy plasmid.
