Does anybody know how to prove the existance of both alpha-amylase and
glucoamylase enzyme in the same enzyme extract ? (the extract is from a
fungus cultured on a semi-solid starch-containing substrate). As much as I
know the hydrolysis product from alpha-amylase activity also contains
glucose which is the only product from glucoamylase activity. If I
measure glucose released when incubation starch with the enzyme extract,
this might not tell. Any suggestions ?
