Does anyone know of a good method for extracting beta-galactosidase from animal tissues? A friend wants to extract it from a transgenic mouse, and identify it on a western blot with an anti-beta-galactosidase Ab. So far no success, even though they "know" the protein is in the tissue. Thanks.
