DNA precipitation - Ethanol??

	Hello,

	What does ethanol do to DNA in solution that makes it precipitate?

		Does anybody know the mechanism?
		
	My interest is mainly in what happens during MINI-PREP
	plasmid extraction.

	Any information is appreciated.
