pcr detection of mycoplasma

Our lab routinely tests cell cultures for mycoplasma using pcr.  A kit
from a company called TaKaRa, distributed by PanVera, has given consistent
and repeatable results. It also appears to be extremely sensitive.  The
kit from Stratagene was a headache.
