We have characterized the time and dose dependence of IPTG induction of expression of adrenergic receptors using the LacSwitch inducible vector system (Stratagene). Eur. J. Pharmacol. 289: 305-310. The EC50 for IPTG was about 15 micromolar and the half time for induction about 18-24 hr in this system.
