Help with searching promoter sequences for transcription factor recognition sequences

its PC equivalent scans sequences but quite slowly.  Unlike its UNIX 
version, you cannot create a users file of TF recognition sites, tho' I 
managed to get it almost working my rewriting one of the files and 
asking it to use that one.
