Hi Dima!
For some blots I use 0.2% Gelatine in the blocking buffer. My stock is 2%
in water and it is dissolved just by autoclaving. So, nothing will grow in
your stock, and its stay liquid at RT.
Another blocking solution I use is 5% Ovalbumin, 5% BSA, 0.2% Tween 20,
which worked very nice for Immobilon blots.
I know some guys using hemoglobin as blocking reagent (also 5%), but I
have never tried it.
