EDTA itself doesn't inhibit the enzyme rather it chelates out the Magnesium
cofactor required for activity. As most Thermus pols require 1.5mM Mg for
activity, EDTA above 0.1mM will cause problems. Addition of extra Mg will
overcome the drop in activity.
