PCR of yeast gDNA.

Dear Colleagues,

   This is an easy one:  what conditions do you recommend for PCR
amplification of your favorite gene from yeast genomic DNA preparations? 
Advice on method of preparation of gDNA, and other easily-overlooked
important variables, would be appreciated.
