To reply to a prior post: I've had poor efficiencies (~5%) when transfecting CHO cells with a GFP construct in pcDNA3 using the calcium phosphate method. Using lipofectamine boosts the efficiency to around 40% or more, so it's not (n=2) a problem with the cells, but rather with the transfection method used. Chris
