M13 ssDNA degradation?

Hello,

I was wondering if someone had any insight to a problem we have 
encountered.  After isolating ssDNA from M13 (by a variety of methods) 
we find that if the DNA is resuspended in water and heated to 90 C for 
10 min., the DNA appears to degrade.  This doesn't occur when not 
heated or when resuspended in TE (heated or not).  Does anyone have 
any insights on this?  You can reply directly by e-mail and I will 
summarize the respones.
