If you are trying to make riboprobes or ISH etc try making the probe from
a PCR product tailed with T7 polymerase promoter (the 3 prime pimer
having the T7 pol promoter added) .  There are a number of 
recent publications describing this procedure.  Its somewhat easier than
cDNA cloning etc - and works!
