Does anybody have any experience (good or otherwise) in using commercially available kits to isolate total RNA from bacteria (Gram-positive and -negative)? Specifically the TRIzol (BRL Life Technology) or the RNA Tack (BIOTECX Lab.)? Any comments will be most appreciated.
