Dear Colleagues:
I am interested in learning if anybody has attempted to create
protein/protein receptor/ligand binding assays in which one of the
interacting components was a chimera consisting of any of the known
reporter enzymes such as alk. phosphatase, glucuronidase, glucose oxidase,
etc. The advantage being the receptor-binding of the enzyme-tagged ligand
can be readily tested via its enzymatic activity without "extensive"
washing steps that might cause "some" dissociation of the R/ligand
complexes. Appreciate any info. concerning the above.
