Inexpensive Power Supplies?

I am interested in purchasing a power supply for gel electrophoresis.
The kind that is used for sequencing gels (3000 volts).

The regular sources like Fisher or BRL have models that cost 
more than $2,000.  Does any one know of cheaper
but reliable models?  Any information will be appreciated.
