Sequencing high G + C DNA

We have had luck with high GC content DNA using cycle sequencing.  We can get
500 bp reads in pseudomonas (sp) DNA.  We still have problems with 
compressions in the electrophoresis but are using capilliary electrophoresis
separation and are still busy trying to optimize the separation conditions
such as running temperature and reproducible gels.
