I tried using it to mutate a lactmase carried in an M13 phage vector.
Two rounds of overnight growth in Xl1red, followed by propagation in
Xl1-blue with B-lactam antibiotics to select active enzymes. The 6
or 8 clones sequenced had no mutations. Boo.
