Dear Huaichun Wang,
The Human Genome Database has information on the calcitonin-related
polypeptide, beta gene (symbol CALCB). There is a cDNA clone and a genomic
clone for this gene that are publicly available.
For the cDNA (pCGRP-4),which contains exons 3, 5 and 6, the contact person is
J. Hoppener(phone 31-30-532-577) in the Netherlands.
For the genomic clone (MGL23), which contains exons 3-5, the contact person is
Steve Legon, Dept of Clinical Pathology, Royal Postgraduate Medical School,
Hammersmith Hospital, Ducane Rd., London UK, W12 0HS.
You can view this information by accessing a new interface for GDB at
http://gdbdev.gdb.org/gdb/lite/docs/home.html
Search by *calcitonin* as the gene name to return all calcitonin genes in GDB,
select your gene of interest from the list and search for Reagents for Gene
Analysis - cDNA and genomic clones.
Please let me know if you have any trouble locating this information, or any
further questions.
Sincerely,
Amy Voltz
