I put up to 500 aa in the 5' end of luciferase and I lost most of the activi-
ty. I made several constructions, and I lost more activity with big frag-
ments.

 > We know that it would not harm B-galactosidase but for 
 > luciferase we are not sure.

I have arrived to inactivate beta-galactosidase with also close to 400 aa.
