DOT BLOT

Could anyone give a solution to a high background in dot blotting. We use a ECL kit and blocked with BSA 
and the usual NFD-Milk. Still there is a high background. Furthermore, the spots contain either a black dot 
in the middle or they are surrounded by a darkened circle. Is it the SDS and what is the solution low or 
high SDS to denature. Maybe someone can send me a good protocol ???
