Radiolabelling plasmid DNA via growth in radiolabelled nucleotides

We are interested in radiolabelling plasmid DNA by growing the bacteria in 
media containing radiolabelled nucleotides.  Does anyone have a protocol that 
works?  Does P32 or S35 work better?  Is there nicking of the DNA?  Which and 
how much of the radiolabelled nucleotides should we use?  Any information 
would be very helpful.  Thank you in advance.
