Transient transfection

Caroline,

We also have had routine success with GIBCO products (no connection),
specifically Lipofectin, in NIH 3T3's.  It is especially more convenient than
CaPO4 for large numbers of samples.  I have heard that cells that have
been allowed to grow too dense lose competency for transfection, so I
would be sdure you are working with well-maintained cells.
