help:hemoglobin content in ghosts

I have to determine the hemoglobin content of human erythrocyte ghosts
(ie erythrocyte membranes after the removal of the hemoglobin by hemolysis
in hypotonic solution). 
With the Drabkin's reagent, this concentration is too small (less than 1 g/dL).
I'm searching for an another technique, who test the heme content of these
ghost suspension (in isotonic phosphate buffer).
