HELP-33P LABEL IN GELSHIFT EXPERIMENTS

Hidy ho,

I am trying 33P-labled (end labeled) dsDNA oligo instead of the traditional 32P label in gel
shift experiments. My questions (1) Given the same specific activity how much longer should I
expose the film for a 33P label vs. a 32P label (assume fresh label)? In other words, is it
practical? (2) Should I use Biomax MR film or regular X-Omat, and at what temperature should I
expose? Any other input is really appreciated.

Thanks much....

Eric
