DNA from clotted blood

I have a tube of blood in which I want to isolate DNA. The problem is that
the blood was not heparinized and so has clotted. How should I proceed? I
will be using the DNA for PCR analysis, but would also like to have intact
high molecular weight DNA for Southern blotting. Thanks for advice.
