Does drying of PVDF membrane help immunodetection?

Well, I keep reading about benefits of drying a nitrocellulose membrane
after blotting and before blocking, but nobody mentions if the same is 
valid for a PVDF membrane.

Does anybody have any experience with drying a PVDF membrane and then
re-wetting it in Methanol followed by a (what-kind-of-?) buffer
afterward - and all than before blocking (I usually use 3% PBSA)?
