Bob,
using the extinction co-efficient for individual nucleotides is very
precise of you. In our lab we use assume that on average, for an
oligonucleotide, a single OD260 unit is equivalent to a concentration of
37ug/ml. We then convert that to uM (pmoles/ul) concentration using the
molecular weight of the primer.
