Yes, it's made by Gibco. It is a modification of the GIP assay for 
isolating RNA. Our lab has had lots of good results using this reagent. I 
have taught high school summer stundents how to use it! We have used it 
in RT-PCR and many other applications. The beauty of it is you can also 
separate DNA and protein fractions from the same cells or tissue. It is 
easy to use and you don't need a lot of gadgets!
