catalase/tissue culture

Does anybody out there use catalase enzyme in tissue culture media? I 
want to try and use it to mop up peroxide produced by the cells I'm 
growing. 

I'd like to know how you prepare the enzyme from the crystallized stock 
(I have Sigma catalase). Seems very difficult to dissolve and sterilise! 
It also seems to precipitate out over time in the culture flask.
