In situ hybridization on tissue sections

I am planning to do in situ hybridization on Drosophila larval sections.
If anyone has experience with this I would appreciate information on
the type of (histological) sections for this: paraffin, frozen or plastic.
 
 
In addition, I would appreciate any information on labelling of the probe.
I have used DIG-labelled probes for whole mount in situ hybridization -
is this suitable for sections?
