Dear bionetters,
I am new to RNA protection assay (RPA). The results were difficult to
explain. I hybridized my probe and bate-actin probe together with my
tested RNA. After ran the gel, I got the actin-protected band at the
predicted size. I can also see the band (125 bp) protected by my probe
although weak. Strangely, I saw a strong band (about 250 bp) protected.
The controls were all good. Both probes were clean and yeast RNA was not
protected. Anyone has any idea what is going on? Your input is highly
appreciated.
