EMSA problems

Hi there!

We are having massive problems with "smiling" in our EMSA gels. We are
using a low-ionic strength running buffer (see Current Protocols). 

We have heard that omitting glycerol from the gels might help. Is this
true? Are there any other tricks?

We would appreciate any comments.
