Loss of polymorphism

Hi Netters:
I have been performing RAPDs with some fungal sp. and found that with one 
source of Taq I got a polymorphic band for one of my sp. and the same 
band became monomorphic when I switched to another source of Taq.

I would like to know if anyone has an explanation for this or any 
references.  Thank you for your input.
